A man fell to his death this week while touring the Grand Canyon and walking across its viewing platform.
The 33-year-old plummeted from the edge of the canyon’s “Sky Walk” attraction — a walkway that extends out over the chasm and allows tourists to look down to its bottom.
The unidentified man fell over 4,000 ft, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said.

Think about falling 4000 feet. He fell for 30 seconds before he hit anything. That's a lot of soul searching time.
How do they know "the man was determined to be deceased?" Maybe he was determined to get a better view.
I live by Yosemite….
Leading cause of accidents and deaths is fuckin selfies.
How do you fall 4000 ft. when the skywalk is 2300 ft. high? Did he jump up 1700 ft. before falling?
Faft guy rip 😅
he fell 4,000 ft and later died of his injuries at the hospital🤔
Those rails are just not high enough in my opinion. I mean there's tons of people walking around with you up there like anybody can just get upset with you and push you or shove you It's just really scary that people trust each other that much.
Hualapai is pronounced with a "W". Shows how much they care.
I have NO desire to visit the Grand Canyon. Zilch, nada, zero.
Falling doesn’t hurt, it’s that sudden stop that sucks
I'll step back a bit so you can take a photo of me and get all of the Grand Canyon innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn……
Miss pre-COVID when the national parks weren’t overcrowded by social media clout-chasing morons
If falling means jumping. RIP
No doubt taking a selfie hanging off the rails?
He had enough time to call his family and say goodbye. That’s a lot of hang time.
He was fine until the last few feet
Rescue effort 😅
It is not 4000 feet.
Can i go there's. To see it. I get spelled. Maybe not. ?😬
Since when have news readers started using slang on national TV….. “ we will keep you “ guys” posted 😢….. please keep your language formal and correct . 🇮🇳
From my personal experience: I went to the Grand Canyon. While I was there, I saw many people “playing”and hanging on the edge to get a “good picture” . I simply can’t comprehend why would someone do that ? Then I said wait ?? 🤔 people actually voted 🗳️ for trump. That explains it all. 😂
Should have left him down there.
"Yes, 911? This is the Grand Canyon Skywalk visitor center. We got a fall. Yep, better bring a spatula."
Probably climbing over the safety barrier to get a pic for his social media. I put this one in the who cares file.
Now hes in fake European heaven 😂
Only 4,000 feet? Did he survive?
So what.
Rip
Falling is like flying until you hit the ground: From Parachute
Mortal kombat fatality
It wouldn’t have happened if the Brady’s were there. I’m sure Mike would have pointed out the danger🤔
He fell 4000 feet and they sent a rescue team? Were they hoping to find him dangling from a tree 20 feet above the ground unable to get down?
