Netflix’s new movie Rebel Ridge just released and it’s awesome! A movie that took me by surprise given Netflix doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to their films. This movie is a mix of many other films that came before but it’s a well executed one that I break down in this film analysis. Enjoy!🎥
Rebel Ridge is an American crime action thriller film written, produced, directed and edited by Jeremy Saulnier. The film stars Aaron Pierre as Terry Richmond, a former Marine who has the funds needed to post bail for his cousin unjustly seized via civil forfeiture by a corrupt police force. Don Johnson, AnnaSophia Robb, David Denman, Emory Cohen, Steve Zissis, Zsané Jhé, Dana Lee, and James Cromwell also appear in the film.

Great video
As a Netflix movie I say it was good but wouldn't have paid to go see it in theaters.
dope movie i loved it
I'm sorry but if you only know James Conwell from the movie I Am robot that you don't know movies😅😅😊😊 that man is a living legend when it comes to cinematic movies the first time I saw him was in babe because I was around that age but but let's not forget all the other great movies he's been in before and after
As a veteran who trained in combatives and cross trained with marines, most realistic movie outside of crazy cops just gunning someone down. He was smart. Always took cover, reacted with precision, all possible and real as long as you train enough or more than enough. And why is ever reviewer say a movie is too long but never have any wise suggestion, literally hating and dont realize it.
Boring terrible movie
Such a great movie! I never like these type of movies but the story and the main character, AMAZING
Absolutely incredible movie not only was the combat realistic compared to most it was hitting the nail on the head with how bad the justice system can be. Absolutely incredible 👏 lost for words
The killer was boring
This shit is like walking tall on steroids
I kept thinking, why do i know this guy (Emery Cohen), then I think I remember him from Brooklyn and Hot Summer Nights (stupid name great movie)
Just finished it and was looking for reviews because man, I ALSO LIKED IT AND WONDERED AM I CRAZY
❤👍🏽
I absolutely lov this movie!
I loved it.
what a great movie man. wow
Not what you would expect of pew pew movies. Some may think it's boring but it's worth the watch.
This movie was TRASH 🗑️, hot GARBAGE
You thinking this is gonna be a Rambo, Extraction or action pack type of movie
Man didn’t fire ONE bullet or throw ONE punch
It’s not awesome. It’s flabby and over long. It’s about 70 minutes of good content stretched over 2 hours.
good movie. i was surprised. there were several plot twists that kept me guessing and rethinking what would have next. i liked it. check it out
Great opening 1/3, great performance by the two lead actors, especially Don Johnson: and it just failed to fire: kudos for trying something different, but it didn't work: this film is highly over-hyped and overrated.
Not super realistic in terms of the way the events played out,,, but suspend your disbelief and you'll have a great time with it !
Rambo
I really enjoyed the movie. As an individual who has a nonprofit geared towards Black youths, I was over joyed to see the Black man have the victory over a corrupt (in)justice system finally.
Think I watched a different film. Soo slow and barely anything happens for over an hour.
It's not that good. But they def focus on this actor's eyes, even illuminating them in an eye exam. He's got muscles and eyes……..and that's enough to sell it to women.
Agreed about the ending, do you think there will be a sequel ?
