It's illegal to keep a raccoon as a pet. Like all animals, babies are cool, but as adults, they ain't no pet.
"Eat raccoons, Eat Eat raccoon!" – 😹🐶
A friend of mine had a raccoon as a pet. It was a really fun little guy but it’s not mentioned in this video how destructive they are! They take everything apart!
She lived in a house with an extra bedroom so she could give the raccoon his own room and his own toys to destroy.
An interesting thing is they do recognize ownership and will be very respectful of other people’s stuff. She gave him all his own (cheap, kid’s) furniture and he would just tear the doors off the cabinets and break the drawers.
At least it kept him from ruining anything else in the house.
The one that wanted a toy was so cute 🥰🥰🥰 i can't stand when people aren't nice to raccoons, like you don't have to go out of your way for them but people who do cruel things to them for no reason are disgusting. They're just little forest teddy bears, there's no need to be awful to them.
Amazing creatures…..
I want one I want one that is so adorable it gave me diabetes
the third clip is of not a racoon dancing but it's in a trance from being locked in a cage too long look it up its a type of zoonotic disease
They are also a carrier of rabies. I wouldn’t even touch one of these animals.
DO NOT BELIEVE THIS!! Raccoons are wild animals and once they hit adulthood will revert to that behavior. It's not fair to the animal to be raised as a pet and then have to be sent to a zoo or animal park because they grew up and started injuring people and other pets. This comes from experience. My brother and his friends brought home orphaned babies, raised them separately, and they all ended up having to be given to various wildlife facilities as 35 lb adults. They don't stay small and cute, which is why you can't buy them in pet stores. They're not pets.
How about learning the difference between " breed " and " species" ? How embarrassing ! 😅
Okay, but how do I get one to Ireland😅?❤
They are wild animals, don’t even try to pet them unless you know what you’re doing. Once they have been domesticated by you they are a life long responsibility. They are occasionally pests when they’re young but once they get older they become more aggressive and will bite. Remember humans domesticated the pets we have over a long time. And even dogs and cats will lash out occasionally, but typically they don’t have diseases. So I wouldn’t recommend raccoons as pets. Rocket Raccoon is a different story, but he would be a friend not a pet.
Rabies.
They don't "wash their food".
All very cute but not cute when they are fed. So much that they're obese
Obesity takes two years off animals lives… So over feeding kills them. You never see overweight animals in the wild. It's not a natural occurrence so feeding them fruit loops and getting them fat while to some might be cute is actually doing harm
I would love to live in a world where raccoons are viable pets. But that time is not now, it took centuries for cats and dogs to be fully domesticated.
A breed of what? Raccoons are a species.
Please don't lie and say that raccoons are good pets. Also theyre not washing their food, the water helps them feel it.
They are also very destructive…
Incoming rabies
They are terrible pets known for being destructive and getting into everything plus they are smarter than a dog and are very resourceful
Who made this video? Rabies?
