  1. Question: if the rings of power are all sort of "linked" in a way that each wearer can sense the presence of the other wearers (which is why they were immediately aware of when Sauron put his ring on, and they took theirs off) then does this mean Gandalf, Elrond, and Galadriel could sense the other ring bearers such as Isildur, Smeagol, and Bilbo? Or did it only work for Sauron because the ring was made specifically for him?

  2. «DESTROY IT!» -Elrond (tc 56:12, s2 e7)

Flash-forward to the bridge of Mount Doom when Elrond shouts the same line to Isildur, urging him to cast the one ring into the fire. I loved that subtle reference!🔥

  3. That is the problem with this part of the history. If Sauron had the ring when he was in Numenor, then he can carry the ring away when his is in spirit form. It follows that he could have carried the ring away when his physical form was destroyed again when he fought with Elindil and Gil-Galad.

  4. I always learn so much from your videos! They're always well put together, concise, and informative, and I appreciate everything you do! This is definitely an important watch for those following the Rings of Power series. Thank you!!

  5. Its interesting to read in the Silmarillion that the elves made the rings because they wanted to create Valinor in Middle Earth, rather than return there. I think that’s why they fell to Sauron’s deception, because it was in their pride they did this. Similar to the Tower of Babel

  6. Is there a book about this if so what’s it called please cuss I’m currently reading J.R.R Tolkien books at the moment I’ve finished the hobbit which I enjoyed very much and it was way different compared to the movie and now I’m reading the LOTR and next the children of HURIN and then the SILMARiLLiON

  7. I don’t recall the council considering sending the one ring to Valinor. That actually sounds like it would have been the smartest option, no? But then, they couldn’t have sent a Hobbit there, and they felt they had no other ring bearer option.

  8. One thing I don't understand. If the three elven rings were produces without the corruption of Sauron, why would have the one ring any power over them? Also why do they lose their power, once the One gets destroyed, if they are something separate?

  9. Why not just tell this story like this in the show. The shows drama could have focused so much more if it just dropped the whole hobbit/wizard storyline and focused on the creation and corruption of men and slow takeover by Sauron’s servants as this mysterious figure sews seeds

  10. Sauron is only compared to another great villain in cinema's history that never showed his face. Sauron is a mystery, perhaos the greatest character ever put on film and he dies easilly under the hands of a woman. It's not the fact a woman defeated him, is the fact that she was not a great warrior

  11. hey! Just want to say your channel is so cool and really gave me the confidence to push through dense yet amazing lore which I’ve grown to love the more I learn. Thank you!

  12. @nerd of the rings theres something bothering me in the tv series rings of power which tbh isn't terrible and has potential , after watching your video's over 2 years iam confused firstly why is that in the time that sauron as Anatar in the second age 1500 in course have created the 3 rings of elves and the 7 for dwarves and now creating the 9 rings for men why is it that elendil and isoldor are both alive in Numenor as well as ah pharazon yet they dont come into the story intil 3000 of the second age. Secondly the dwarves of kazadoom dont discover and are driven out by the balrog until 1980 of the third age. CONFUSED
