This cat is way too good at making babies so volunteers came up with a way to catch her. They started feeding her to gain her trust last winter and with time the cat warmed up to them. So they catch their chance and caught the orange cat.
However, when they brought her to the animal hospital to get spayed, the vet told the animal rescue workers that she’s already pregnant. The stray cat population in the area had been growing out of control so they were worried. However, they let the cat go.
Soon, they got news that the orange cat had given birth to 3 kittens. One of them had a crooked neck so one lady chose to adopt the cat knowing he wouldn’t survive in the wild.
They kept on trying to catch the orange cat mother again but every time they approached, she would run away. Out of fear of being captured again. Until one night, around 10 pm, they were able to lured her out to eat. That’s when they finally caught her again.
By this point, she had already given birth to another litter of kittens. After they spayed her, a family offered to adopt the orange cat. However, she didn’t like her new home and would always pee on the bed. The family decided that they didn’t want to adopt her anymore and sent her back.
After observing the orange cat further. They noticed that she is less healthy and lively than when she was in the streets so they decided to release her. A volunteer captured footage of the cat the night that she was released into the wild. She seemed much happier. It seems that she’ll always be a stray cat, and a happy one. I think after all that hassle, she deserves her freedom!
