1. I recently came across your channel and was instantly hooked! I knew based on the themes it was likely you had covered the stories of welsh coal mines
   as someone from wales we are taught a bit about it in school but not nearly enough
   we have places like big pit who are very dependant on community and tourism funding to help educate many people on such a steep part of welsh culture and history.

   for many years wealthy coal miner owners neglected worker rights and their safety and so many of these tragedies could have easily been preventable; had they took the health and safety of their workers seriously
   men, women and children's lives were lost due to such carelessness and it is a massive grievance on welsh heritage
   thank you for such a well informed and genuine video based on these events! you have another long time watcher for sure!

7. The gresford disaster was so big that a brass band hymn was named after it. Gresford (the miner's hymn) and is well known within certain areas and events in England ( Durham Miners Gala)

14. I started working for BNSF, who operates the Scenic route through the pass in 2018. I did some research and learned of the Wellington disaster. Me and some friends went to see it, and to say it was a somber but incredible experience would somehow be selling it short.

18. I think one of the saddest parts of the Aberfan disaster was that it happened on the last day of term for the children. They were only meant to be in until lunchtime if memory serves before getting a week off, and had they had just had that day off school, none of them would've perished.

19. Correction – Tranmere Rovers are not a Welsh team. Tranmere are in the town of Birkenhead. Birkenhead is opposite Liverpool separated by the River Mersey.

41. As a ten year old at the time of the Aberfan disaster the effects of the news coverage left a lasting sense of sadness for the children that died. I still recall the event every year on its anniversary over 55 years later.😢
