We were 35 miles Northwest of Mt St Helen's in 1980. We had about 18 inches of ash after 2 days of absolute darkness.
Live in a earthquake zone and active volcano in Tennessee. But survived three blizzards in my home state of Indiana.
I have an idea for a video enviemental disaster caused because of someones stupidity
0:20 I was three years old when this happened
i was hoping that the east palestine train derailment would make the list. it happened in my back yard.
5:36 When my father fought on the northern border of Namibia in 1982, to him and other soldiers, water was as precious as free time because of the drought.
The Krakatoa eruption was said to have been heard as far away as NYC and said it sounded like a canon firing nearby but later learned it came from 10,000 miles away in Indonesia.
Why isn’t The Mount St. Helens volcano 🌋 eruption 🌋 of 1980 on this list?!?!?!!!!????
Hurricane 🌀 Katrina should be number one ☝🏻!
Surprised the Joplin tornado wasn’t on this lists or the CA fired that happened in 09
Katrina wasn’t a “natural disaster” they bombed the levees to save the French quarter
I was in katrina 🙁
Me gusta muchos sus vídeos gracias
Always watch the animals if they’re fleeing for higher ground follow them.
Surprised you didn't mention Mt Tambora eruption and the Year Without Summer that followed. Still an interesting and terrifying list.
India's kedarnath tragedy was also worse
More like hurricane tortilla…
Actually, it was April 26, 1986, not August 26.
Number 1 hurricane tortilla
It wouldn't surprise me if all of these happen in 2020
You missed a disaster what about the Exxon Valdez oil spill off of the coast of alaska
And now, 2020.
Hey Matt no offense intended at all but can you please quit with the meters and kilometres. I get that your Canadian but you live and broadcast in the US and no one wants to be doing conversion math in the middle of a video, otherwise great job! And THANKS😊
krakatoa kraked it island
I listen to the song Pompeii.
Thank you for saying Oregon right lol
This needs a part 2 as of this year
I thought you were going to mention the Galveston hurricane of 1900. I guess I see it as a worst disaster because no one even knew it was as big as it was going to be. And people were still in their homes or in trains drowned to death.Texas remembers it.
Liquefaction was also part of why the San Francisco fires were so devastating.
Number 8 is from the impossible
11 cubic meters of ash in the Krakatoa eruption? That number sounds ridiculously low. Pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers. 11 cubic kilometers sounds more real.
I would like to know how long it takes you to make a video
Fukushima? Also, there's no "R" in Vesuvius.
I remember the storm of 93. I lived in Wapwallopen Pa. Which is the top of a mountain. The National Gaurd brought food and supplies. You couldn't open your front door.
I absolutely love all your videos! You are so awesome and funny and usually always right with your info! This one tho you have one thing wrong, Chernobyl happened on April 26, 1986 not August 26, 1986! I know this because that is the day I was born. I was the second disaster that day or the first….not sure what time I was born. Terrible what happened tho 😔
In 79AD Vesuvius did a Plinian eruption and we get that from a witness.
You missed one in my opinion
Google the year without summer
It was a volcanic eruption that spewed soo much ash that sunlight didn't reach the surface of the earth causing no heat during the summer
I have a question. I just recently got into seriously watching and checking YouTube, and between Mathew and Chills ( my absolute favorite Youtubers) have noticed that just Mathew alone has over 6 million subscribers. At 5 dollars each, where does that money go?
1:09 I live 3 houses from St. Claude Ave. Katrina was a total devastation, but we chose to rebuild our homes and our lives. The hurricane only made us stronger.
