  1. The Krakatoa eruption was said to have been heard as far away as NYC and said it sounded like a canon firing nearby but later learned it came from 10,000 miles away in Indonesia.

  2. Hey Matt no offense intended at all but can you please quit with the meters and kilometres. I get that your Canadian but you live and broadcast in the US and no one wants to be doing conversion math in the middle of a video, otherwise great job! And THANKS😊

  3. I thought you were going to mention the Galveston hurricane of 1900. I guess I see it as a worst disaster because no one even knew it was as big as it was going to be. And people were still in their homes or in trains drowned to death.Texas remembers it.

  4. 11 cubic meters of ash in the Krakatoa eruption? That number sounds ridiculously low. Pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers. 11 cubic kilometers sounds more real.

  5. I remember the storm of 93. I lived in Wapwallopen Pa. Which is the top of a mountain. The National Gaurd brought food and supplies. You couldn't open your front door.

  6. I absolutely love all your videos! You are so awesome and funny and usually always right with your info! This one tho you have one thing wrong, Chernobyl happened on April 26, 1986 not August 26, 1986! I know this because that is the day I was born. I was the second disaster that day or the first….not sure what time I was born. Terrible what happened tho 😔

  7. You missed one in my opinion

    Google the year without summer
It was a volcanic eruption that spewed soo much ash that sunlight didn't reach the surface of the earth causing no heat during the summer

  8. I have a question. I just recently got into seriously watching and checking YouTube, and between Mathew and Chills ( my absolute favorite Youtubers) have noticed that just Mathew alone has over 6 million subscribers. At 5 dollars each, where does that money go?
