What do you think of the new structure?

love the gameplay for structure you outlined. Good stuff.
A new story by Bram Stoker just came out. I feel like Patrick Rothfuss is out of excuses at this point.
Its not that crazy to have multiple reboots, especially in the horror genre. Carrie will just be another in that long list. I'm hyped for it.
The magicians absolutely does get that dark further down the line. I havent read the third finished the second a while ago and have been letting it rot on my tbr because the book hangover was real
We got The Edge of Sleep live action before we got The Edge of Sleep season 2 with the podcast. SMH.
8 episodes of Carrie is insane unless Mike is gonna add a lot of creative liberties to stretch it out. Just please do Dark Tower already.
I love the indie pub section! I've been able to make recommendations to friends from it and the books were well liked.
Who tf doesn't like the indie promo spot? I love that! It's my favorite part of fantasy news! I love discovering new books by indie/self pub authors. Boooooo to whoever hates it.
Thank you for keeping the indie pub section! It's crazy to know that people wanted to cut that out.
Gotta wonder if the father of horror stories would like the thought of one of his stories being long-lost-recovered-and-published after his death
Gollum 2: filthier and preciouser
Thanks love your work
Love the indie pub promos. Love that Kayla reads them. One of my favorite additions to FN. Glad you're keeping them.
Missed commenting on the last video, but there's only two minor critiques I have.
1) When doing cover reveals if you could keep them on the screen longer or in the bottom corner when you go back to talking about them, I'd really appreciate it. I actually use FN more like a podcast where I listen to it while working often and by the time I hear a cover reveal I have to go back and forth and find the few seconds it's on the screen. This is a niche thing and I'm not sure anyone else finds it an issue, but that's how I consume FN.
2) I love the time stamps and links you do in your videos. Whenever you have a host guest it's often really iffy on if they add links or time stamps. I don't want you to stop having guest hosts. Obviously you need time off and I have found a lot of other creators I enjoy this way. But if you could make sure they're doing the time stamps and links that would be super helpful.
The new format is way better
I don't think the American Psycho film adaptation actually changed that much from the book. Some scenes are exactly out of the book. It felt more like a cliff notes version of the book, hitting a lot of the key scenes, but skipping some others bits (including the horribly disturbing, upsetting, and gory torture scenes that would have been totally unadaptable to screen, and rightly so). As a fan of the book (other than the aforementioned chapters about torture), I think the movie captured the book better than 90% of adaptations. I don't see what there is to gain from a new film. There's no way they're going to do a better job adapting it, and with the original film being a cult classis, I can't see the new one being more popular either. So what's the point?
Knowing nothing about it, "Ash" gives me real "Prospect" vibes.
i would love to move from a Kindle to a Kobo but I cannot figure out how to move all of my kindle books (over 2,000) onto it.
I'd much rather The Dark Tower get rolling than see him spending time on Carrie. At least maybe do something King that's more directly tied to the Tower? Hm. I'm sure his will be good though, unlike, say, that recent Max take on Salem's Lot. Man did that ever completely miss the mark.
Incidentally I just started The Dark Tower VII, what a wild ride the last couple books have been. Trying to think how to say this without spoilers, but especially the way he ends the journal entries that act as an epilogue to VI. Given the dates involved, crazy stuff is going to be going down shortly I'm sure.
New bram stocker before elder scrolls 6. You see Daniel you missed one
Gibbet Hill (not Giblet) refers to the scaffold used for hanging and there are several places in the UK called this. For example Warwick University has Gibbet Hill Campus as it is located on the hill where hangings used to take place.
loved your outfit in this video 🙂
Just a small correction- it’s gibbet, not giblet- those are inside turkeys 😊. A gibbet is that cage/coffin things you see in old hammer movies. Theoden mentions them when he tell Saruman should be hanging from a gibbet for the sport of his own crows.
Hey Goblin–can you talk about your experience of editorial and proofing?
Did a vampire resurrect Bram Stoker, Cuz last time I checked he wasn't alive.💀
Book news into multimedia news is great
Why did I not know about this Bram Stoker thing? I only live 2 hours away 😢😂
My attention span is horrible, and must say this format caught and kept my attention better than the old one. Liking the change! And glad you kept the indie section — even if I don't personally tend to read indie, it's important to give those authors a spotlight wherever possible.
OMG. I just realised Daniel is if Jeff Nippard was a hip librarian.
I hadnt watched FN in a month so watchig everything back to back is very fun and interesting ❤
Having sat in the British Library and the National Archives (UK) I can completely understand how a manuscript can be lost in the shelves, there is just so much stuff packed in there! You can lose your own soul in those places…
But you know the books right? For Electric State; you didn’t mention Simon Stalenhag who writes the amazingly illustrated books. He also wrote Tales From the Loop.
New Bram Stoker before The Doors of stone…
Mark hasn't said this out loud (he never would) but Amazon is doing him so dirty right now about Edge of Sleep, making him jump through insulting hoops to prove he–a guy with 35 million subscribers–is worthy of their platform. His recent video The Plan explains their shitty tactics, it's wild.
Really glad you covered markiplier's show on prime! They released it without any fanfare, and have seemingly challenged him that if it can keep in the top 10 trending for 30 days, then it's going to potentially open up doors for the other major project he's been working on
I love your videos and the new setup is great. Its awesome that you help promote indie authors. I've got a book rec if you love a slow burn paranormal romance with witches and a bit of spice. The title is 'FOREVER BURNING: The Evil Within by Amy Olinger. I hope you check it out.
