Key Tips for Controlling an Opponent in the 4-Point Position:
Stay on Top and Apply Pressure: Use your body weight to press down on your opponent’s hips and back. This limits their ability to move and weakens their escape options.
Use Strikes or Submissions: From the 4-point position, you have the advantage to apply powerful strikes to the ribs or head, or set up submissions like a rear naked choke, arm lock, or wrist control.
Control Their Movement: Grab their ankles or wrists to prevent them from moving or getting back to their feet. You can use their hands or legs as leverage to roll them over or take their back.
