Spread The Viralist

At least 51 people have died in the eastern Spanish region of Valencia region after flash floods left towns and roads under water.

Spain’s interior ministry said that it is aware of 51 deaths caused by the torrential rains, and that the death toll could rise significantly as rescue workers remain unable to access some of the devastated regions.

Carlos Mazón, Valencia’s regional president, said it remains “materially impossible” to confirm the number of dead after extremely intense rain fell on the region on Tuesday and into the night.

  1. Since I don't see any comments on this, I'd like to point out that, even though I live on the other side of Spain and didn’t experience that nightmare, all of us in Spain know there was a red alert issued by the national meteorological agency, which was deliberately ignored by La Generalitat and the govement. So People were totally unaware and were forced to go to work, even as the event was happening. The Generalitat is primarily responsible, along with the government, even though it tries to wash its hands of the matter. They're blaming each other, while the Valencian people and the few emergency services (few because they weren’t notified) are the ones who are helping and rescuing the missing people. Many times, it’s the civilians themselves who have to save each other. This is the effect of climate change and late stage capitalism. Productivity above all. At what cost?? I'm sure those affected would appreciate words of support from everyone ❤️

  2. Immigrant is the cause. They brought over their 3rd world behavior like littering which potentially led the flooding system to be ineffective. Littering clogs drainage systems, blocking the flow of water and reducing their capacity to carry runoff during heavy rain. When trash, plastic bags, bottles, and other waste accumulate in storm drains and sewers, water can’t drain efficiently, leading to backups and overflow. This results in water pooling in streets and other low-lying areas, increasing the risk of flooding.

  3. Que tristeza!! Aqui no Brasil, no sul, passamos por enchentes tambem 😢 A humanidade perdeu ja essa batalha. Infelizmente veremos cada vez mais cenas assim. Onde moro teve uma microexplosao algumas semanas atrás. Nunca tinhamos passado por isso. Destruiu casas, derrubou arvores. Quem puder e tiver 💸, melhor ir viver nas montanhas e longe de rios😢

  4. ¡Esto es para usted por suministrar armas a Ucrania, desde las cuales los rusos matan a los rusos! ¡Que los españoles también mueran!
