    They deserve respect, not fear and dont try to kill them, you can easily get bitten while trying to kill them. Just walk away.
    But they still haven't said what it is, but my bet is a rattlesnake bite.
    Edit; yes it's a rattlesnake bite. Remember folks, time is tissue. The only thing that stops the effects of venom is antivenom. But it cannot reverse damage done. Get to medical help asap. Stay calm and get to help. Always watch where you put your hands and feet in snake country.
