  1. My grandmother, Sally Barron, had MULTIPLE Champion Borzoi. Oddly independent dogs, while still being extremely social to ppl. Field coursing was always an extremely exciting event, while the shows were kinda boring….love this breed

  2. Just an FYI for anyone out there apprehensive about spaying their dogs: Spaying your dog prevents pyometra, which is a serious and sometimes deadly condition that can be a result of your dog going through a heat cycle without being bred. I understand some people don't agree with altering their pets, but in the case of female dogs it's extremely important you spay them if you don't intend for them to have puppies.

  3. Im so glad i saw this before ever having to say this breed name aloud. Knowing how its pronounced i think id just die on the spot if i said 'bor-zwa' and got corrected with that why did i think it would be pronounced like that

  4. For anyone who is thinking fixed, your dog actually do research. It is actually better to leave your dog intact. Most of the time, especially with bigger dog, breeds until they're two or three.

Though I did not fix my dog yet. She's still in the age where she can be bred, but I plan on fixing her here pretty soon when she gets at a breeding age I had planned. It's to breed her when we first got her so that was always a plan.
