We live in a fallen world…there are people who believe that because God is all good (omnibenevolent), then His goodness demands the eradication of natural disasters.
Let me ask this:
If you are a good parent, does that mean the eradication of disciplining your child/children? As a good parent, I'd hope you see discipline as a good thing and something that leads your child to becoming a better person.
In the same way, I believe God allows natural disasters to teach us how to rely on Him.
Actually Dirckx contradicted herself in the debate with Rationality Rules. "There are no purely natural disaster" …"Well obviously there are some disasters that are completely natural which have seemingly no benefits" – Dirckx
Yet this god of yours made sure mosquitoes that transmit diseases got on the ark. So isn't for the wellbeing of humans.
it doesn't, since it doesn't exist. I am always amused by these cultists insisting that their god uses natural disasters to punish people. Curious how those false prophets always are caught in their lies and hate.
Aww come on Sean, not even a little nugget of the answer to the question besides to read the book? Lol
The obvious answer is that there is no god, or at least, there is no god who gives a darn about human suffering. I can add that if there is a god who obviously doesn't give a darn about human suffering then there is no reason for me to give a darn about him.
