Today we’re eating our way through the beautiful city of Auckland, New Zealand! What are the top 5 must eat foods when you’re in Auckland, New Zealand?

Thank you to my friend Christian Kasper for helping to arrange this tour today! We had a lot of fun, met incredible people, and enjoyed delicious food in New Zealand – and still lots more to come.

Muzza’s Pies (https://maps.app.goo.gl/GFbhbPe4Knw17LqdA) – We’re starting off with pies, not just any pies, but some of the best New Zealand savory pies you can eat. Christian and I tried five of them, and they are outstanding, but the steak and cheese was a highlight. Price – 6 – 8 NZD ($3.59 – $4.78 USD) per pie

Tipene’s Fish And Chips Takeaways (https://maps.app.goo.gl/3HFokEVWTEm4eFeg7) Fish and chips is a staple in New Zealand, and Tipene’s Fish And Chips Takeaways was on Auckland’s iconic eats list for serving one of the best versions in Auckland. Price – About 10 NZD ($5.98 USD) per plate

Giapo (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ta8DVXJPZz9gZxvT8) – You can’t come to New Zealand without trying hokey pokey ice cream, the national flavor. Giapo has taken ice cream to extreme levels, and his hokey pokey ice cream is one of the best. Price – About 10 NZD ($5.98 USD) per person

Tony’s Original Steak & Seafood Restaurant (https://maps.app.goo.gl/GrDeHJZGFWUa8XNp7) – You definitely know about New Zealand lamb, it’s one of the most famous lambs in the world, so when I was in Auckland I had to search for a delicious lamb shank at one of the oldest restaurants in Aucilan. Price – $89 NZD ($53.22 USD) for everything

The White Lady (https://maps.app.goo.gl/1iXX9p7MHBXPAbA36) – If there’s one institution in Auciland that everybody knows about and everyone from all walks of life has eaten at, it’s got to be The White Lady. I ordered the Old Skool Egg burger, also called the Kiwi Burger. Price – $16.50 NZD ($9.86 USD)

  1. The L&P is lemon and carbonated spring water that is sourced from natural springs in a town called Paeroa (pie-raw-ah)
Keen as on a pie now, definitely steak n cheese
    Welcome to Aotearoa

  2. Awww Mark!! So so happy you've made it to the motherland!!! Kiwiboy here from Hawkes Bay, living in Sydney (for far too long 🤭) I'm commenting before I've even started to watch this episode as I KNOW this is going to make me homesick!! Sincerely hope my people are looking after you well! Thank you for just being who you are bro 🤙

  3. I'm glad u enjoyed your visit to NZ and eating our famous eats. Man you made me humg4y watching u eat our food. I now live in Australia and miss our nz pies and fish and chips. Australia can't make pies or fish and chips. Take care 🙂 💕

  4. Australian and New Zealand cuisine is very similar to what you get in the uk. Very pie and fish orientated food. They also use the same words, so it's chips and not fries and its a takeaway and not a takeout. Mark weins looks like a little boy sitting next to that man. Its probably because he is just so thin and scrawny with no shoulders, hips, legs just like a pencil.

  5. 1. "must eat" …really, you're telling poeple what they have to eat?
    2. You can't stop eating. Either you have a serious medical condition that should be rectified before it kills you, or that a typical BS clickbait claim.

    Another channel to avoid.

  6. some good food in new zealand, its just the people that are third world mindset that kills the vibe of the place , really backwards people , almost like stepping into 1948

  7. Aloha & Kia Ora Mark! I was one of the 6 at Tony’s Steakhouse waving and throwing 🤙(shaka)🤙 at you at 30:27 of your video. We were in the booth next to you! Thank you for taking time to take pictures with us! We enjoy all your videos! Mahalo, Jerry from Hawaii🌈🏝️🤙

  8. Australia too have Beetroot on Burgers 10/10, New Zealand is a wonderful country, friendly people, breath takings views and the biggest Mountains I have ever seen. Enjoy your food journey.
All the food in today's video has been a solid 10/10.

  9. Love it Mark!! If you go too Christchurch you definitely need Ice Cream Charlie!!!!! An absolute Christchurch Icon, has existed since 1903 and the classic Charlie with raspberry syrup and cream is just insane brother 👌

  10. Hi Mark, please try fresh oysters and oyster chowder near Clevedon farmers market in south Auckland or Matakana farmers market if you drive up north Auckland.

There’s a restaurant in Waihi that is worth all the time and long drive: Down Thyme restaurant.

  11. ths is just regular, nothing special food you can find in literally ANY country in the english speaking world. This is so disappointing, why not white-bait patties or kumara fries, or a hangi…seriously this was a waste of time..

  12. L&P was, once upon a time, naturally carbonated water from Paeroa, flavored with lemon. Then, at some point, Coca-Cola got the rights and the recipe, now only infrequently we'll get the L&P from my young days – and certainly not made with sparkling mineral water from Paeroa anymore.

  13. L&P In the township of Paeroa, the origin place of the drink, there is a 7-metre (23 ft) tall Lemon & Paeroa bottle statue. It is one of the most photographed locations in our country, and is also considered our New Zealand icon.

Originally, Lemon & Paeroa used naturally carbonated water from a spring in the town of Paeroa. The spring is located near the Ohinemuri and Waihou rivers. The land at the spring was originally used to service gold mines, and was a cow paddock when the spring was discovered. Mixed with lemon juice
