Jim’s Original (Since 1939) is a Chicago street food institution, and while you can get a classic American hot dog or a pork chop sandwich the best thing you have to try is their Polish sausage with mustard, a caramelized mountain of onions, and pickled serano peppers. Absolutely must eat when you’re in Chicago, USA!

  1. It is rather an overstatement to call a hot dog a ‘work of art’ when you have been to sophisticated Middle Eastern or Asian cuisine, makes it sound not genuine.

  2. As a European (Swedish) I'm a bit confused. NYC, Philadelphia and Chicago all claim to have the best traditional street food of the nation. The only part of the US I've tried tried street food in is Fla. Where should I go next for great traditional American street food?

  3. I was watching thinking oh now he traveled to America.. and then it hit me.. he’s actually American 😭😂 I really can’t digest it I still feel he’s Thai and this is his first visit to the US

  4. Been going to this place since I was a kid. At least 50 years. Originally on Halsted, but after the redevelopment of this area Jim's moved to 1250 S. Union. Walking distance from UIC.

  5. Do you think that when the cameras are off, and he’s is at home cooking with his wife, that he still makes that face and those sounds, when trying food they have prepared?
