  1. The outdoors is not a human being and so when injury or death occurs when most of the time the fault lays on us . The family had no hiking or outdoor experience. Sorry for the tragedy .

  2. I cannot begin to imagine the depth of their grief. I am grateful that there are changes to help prevent future losses like these and that there is a memorial to lives taken far too soon.

  3. I played in creeks growing up a lot. My heart just breaks for this family. I now have a total appreciation for the dangers of flash flooding. 😢

  4. What a sad story. Can't imagine what this family went through. Poor Marina, she's gonna be traumatized for life by this ordeal. My heart goes out to Cesar and his family. I know is a hard pill to swallow. You always deliver OD, thanks for bringing us another great but sad story.

Reading the comments, I find it highly disturbing that the dog gets more sighs of relief than the 1 year old girl. Seriously, wtf.

  5. Wow this is such a tragedy. 10 family members taken so fast 😢
God bless that sweet dad for clenching onto his baby. He’s a hero. You can tell he’s an amazing father.

  6. This is a particularly harrowing and desperately sad story. With quite a few of these stories the tragedies were caused by overconfidence or plain stupidity, this was just a family enjoying a fun day out. There was nothing they could have done to avoid this. May they RIP..

  7. Condolences to & prayers for this family. As haunting as these stories are, the people are so relatable. Their cruel fates could happen to most any of us… hope I'm never on here.
