1. Welcome people who enjoy long form lore dumps and those who say my voice makes them sleepy… I see you!
   This is a compilation of some of my previous videos and some research into our benefactors! Glory to The Combine.
   I do have a huge timeline in the works on a different game that I am hoping to post in the next week or so. Don't teleport bread.

2. 44:50 – something a non-human would say? I wouldn't be too sure about that. I talk of the failings of the human condition fairly often. In those terms. As a "disconnected observer" of sorts of the human condition. The GMan, however, is obviously not human. You would be surprised, though, how easily humans are manipulated. It doesn't take a mysterious man in a suit carrying a briefcase to do so, either. Look at how easily humans are manipulated by what they see on a screen. See how easily they are manipulated into an upsell at a fast food restaurant. Fragile creatures.

3. Real talk. With all your talk about the "Lore and Story behind [insert person, place, thing, or event here]" and your British-sounding accent I'm surprised you haven't done a bit about the 7-Eleven outside of Black Mesa, and the truck that makes deliveries there. You could call it "The Store and Lorry behind Black Mesa"

4. So when you start off with two lies I stop the video and click on the (don't recommend this channel) button! During your intro you said no intros" (that's lie number 1) then during the intro for G-Man I realized you told 2 lies in under 22 seconds so nothing you had to say was worth my time!

5. Great video, but you had the chance to use the lambda as the L in lore and made it an O which is weird to see as a Greek speaker. I always see people abuse Greek letters as totally different letters in other languages e.g. capital sigma (Σ) which makes an S sound used as an E, when we already have a captial epsilon (Ε) which is literally an E. 😂

I do love that breen grub and epistle 3 have effectively become canon despite the mass populace kicking screaming that it isn't 😂😂 firstly it's just beautiful to see them not getting their way on the matter, but its just the concept of the Combine canonically being named shu'ulathoi when it was only EVER mentioned in breen grub which also has direct tie into epistle 3 which also was confirmed to have been where the story was gonna go. Like no we won't ever get to play this ending but atleast we do know what it is definitively.

10. My not exciting guess is that G-man is a convenient plot device for Valve and they never had an answer to who he really is. Valve is simply throwing us some crumbs from time to time and lets our imagination run wild.

11. What if the G-man and his employers are time travelers? Trying to put their race back on track. The original timeline would be Gordon dying in black mesa and maybe Eli loosing his wife and daughter, and Dr kliener dying with Barney, so maybe some group of surviving scientists worked towards timetravel to fix this huge mistake, and through that discovered multi universal travel, maybe combining the machines to make a universal time travel machine, and the timeline we play is the best version they could get, it's a bit of a crazy stretch, but it would be interesting. Like G-man has seen hundreds of Gordon's perish and the one we play through, is the "end game" of this time, the one out of a Million that could be a good outcome.

27. I hope Valve never straight up explain who G-man is. At this point it’s almost impossible to write a resolution that will be as compelling as all the speculation. He’s better left a mystery.

28. I really don’t like that Valve introduced time travel and a multiverse. Both are pretty cheap tools, writing-wise, and make the story lose any impact as you can retcon anything, like they did with Eli. He should’ve stay dead and in turn make Alyx more jaded. Which would fit nicely with her fighting Mossman.
