Police chase ends in deadly crash in northern Hamilton County

A man is dead after a police chase that started in Tipton County ended in a crash near Arcadia in Hamilton County early Thursday morning.

Hamilton County Coroner Jeff Jellison confirmed a man died after a crash in the northbound lanes of U.S. 31, just south of 276th Street near Arcadia, on Dec. 12. An autopsy has been performed, but the cause of death is pending toxicology results. The coroner has not released the identity of the dead driver.

  1. This happened right in front of me. I was pulling over for the cop and luckily I saw the car without any lights on the right shoulder in time. He was inches from hitting me. He was going so fast, went around me and went in front of the van in front of me, spun out and cut across both southbound lanes, the median and both northbound lanes.

    Very lucky no one else was involved
