You train dog be mean, they will be mean. If not trained be mean, show some aggression be able talk to a dog trainer and/or vet see if there is underlying health issue.
I don’t know 🤷♀️ what happened to the other one convicted with Vic. On what happened with his dogs. Makes me mad, Vic killed the family pets. Had all kinds of torture for the dogs.
At the end I started crying 😢 I felt sorry for the dogs. Especially ones still not adopted. Meryl glad, she is helping with the other dogs are brought in. Prayers for dogs and their families and especially ones still at the rescues. If anything this brought to light of dog fighting rings. Vic should not of gotten a key to city. Especially his comment, we don’t care about the dogs.
I am sorry, I would think 🤔 twice about giving him a dog and/or cat. Especially with that comment.
America is a continent, not a country.
Sadly, there are some dogs of any breed that, as a last resort, require euthanasia so as not to put the safety of others, people and dogs, at risk of injury or death. And, I have two pit bulls with a history of mistreatment/abuse. One from a shelter and one from a rescue. I have great love ❤️ and respect for these beautiful and loving dogs.
I know of three Labradors just in my neighborhood that bite. All dogs bite when they have irresponsible, abusive owners.

god bless everyone of you,vick is a terrible human being,and it makes me so mad how fast some people can for get what happened to these beautiful animals.i will admit ,i had never had a bully before,so the first dog my son got was a bully.i was so nervous ,especially when my first grandbaby was born.now,thanks to that ,a bully will be the only dog we will ever have.they are beautiful,sweet,kind,caring,loving and are great nanny dogs.for all the people out there that think football and m,vic are more important,then these babies..shame on you
This story about a pitbull reminds me of when my younger brother Patrick and I got a black Labrador retriever pitbull mix named Maggie from the Oregon humane society back on June 22nd 2013 she was 9 years old we had her for 5 wonderful years until August 20th 2018 when she passed away from cancer she was 14 years old 😢💔
So sad. These babies had no choice. RIP😢😢❤❤❤

Tell that to the young woman who was just gotten savagely attacked by this white pittie at this LA shelter this past June of 2024? She's still in the hospital as of 6/13. It's really hard to tell what a dog will do, but a pit is just like any other strong breed; you just don't know what they'll do!😥

I adopted/rescued a Staffordshire Terrier, her name is Ellie, she 's been with me and my 2 Chihuahua's for over 5 years and I have to admit she is a big baby, she is sound sensitive and extremely docile, she's never hurt anything ! My neighbor's chickens often escape and come to my yard and she is not agressive to them what so ever, she is a big baby and more docile than my 2 little boys and I agree dogs like people are individuals!

Not the breed is bad, no animal are born as a biting monster. Look at the people that raise them…….
Some pit bulls are different than other dogs. All dogs, wolves or predators have a genetic tendency to be risk averse, to try to avoid injury. In the wild injury = death and animals instinctively know this or they don’t survive to pass on their genes. When breeding “fighting dogs” breeders will try and breed this characteristic out of the animal thus getting dogs that will fight through pain and injury or even fight to the death. “Game bred” pit bulls that have this dna are different than other dogs but the main reason the breed kills the most people and dogs is just numbers. There are so many and most of their owners don’t know what they’re doing.

Michael Vick should never have been allowed back in the NFL…. Those of us not famous would never have been allowed to return to such a high profile situation.. We wouldn't have been allowed back into polite society… By allowing him back they were saying to the world, "making money is more important than the abuse he caused to all those animals." after that I refused to have anything to do with the NFL. I won't watch any game, nothing. In no way will I contribute money to a "non profit" such as the NFL.

If Pitbull haters can explain what makes them so much different than other breeds that have a stronger psi and are bigger i could get on board. Like the Akita ive heard they are very mean and unpredictable but never hear anything and its probably simply bc they are not as popular! But there are alot of other breeds that could do the same or worse!
I think its just upsurd singling out a certain breed bc of attacks.. i think alot of it is breeding poorly and ones that are a concern slipping thru to homes! I've found, rescued and adopted many stray, feral and dumped dogs. Including pitties, not knowing anything about them or where they came from and I have never, to this day, been attacked or bitten. Been bitten by other breeds, but not pits. They're the sweetest babies.💗 I know there are horrible stories where pitbulls behaved dangerously but I think it all goes back to who owned them and what kind of treatment they endured.
Denver got rid of bsl in 2020 and Cincinnati got rid of there in 2015.
