Why wouldn’t the parents insist on staying with their child overnight? There is no way in this world that I would not INSIST upon sleeping right next to my child. My kids have spent plenty of time in the hospital and I have always stayed next to them.

I'm sorry. A little off topic, but the police officer used the word "decedent" to, I'm assuming, describe Xaque's state. I have never heard this word being used before. So, I looked it up. In the law enforcement context, It is a word used to describe an officer's death in the line of duty. Now we know.

OK, I get that their home was filthy and they are drug users but no way did they intentionally kill their child. Murder charges? Am I the only one who thinks the parents' treatment was was appalling? The way they were manhandled and told their daughter died was inhuman…then to judge the mother's reaction? Its pretty obvious that they had no idea their daughter was dead. Of course they didn't know…they were suffering CO poisoning. They released the parents to the street in the cold winter with nowhere to go with CO poisoning and a dead daughter. Heartless!!! From start to finish they were treated worse than animals. I don't believe their son hadn't eaten in days. He answered that while suffering CO poisoning! Is he emaciated/ malnourished? Did the hospital even test the son or parents for CO? Were they informed about their CO poisoning before being released from the hospital? Doesn't look like they were. The video makes it seem like the post mortem screens on the daughter is the first inkling of CO. When cause of death was determined to be CO poisoning, police doubled down on blaming the parents. The mom knew about CO poisoning related to the propane but not the coals. I don't see any intent to harm their children. They need to drop those murder charges.
