The rescue of big Joe!
This horse is named big Joe. He is draft cross that was donated to the Horseshoeing School a few years ago.
Riley trained him to ride and taught him the basics. Riley’s father, Don, owner of Rocking M Quarter Horses, found him to be a phenomenal ranch horse. Joe found his home at Don’s Horse ranch in central Idaho.
A few days ago, Joe fell into a deep hole in a pasture while checking cows. The hole was made by a leaky water mainline and was just big enough for Joe to wedge his whole body in. Thanks to quick thinking by Don Mickelsen, they saved him and he is making a full recovery.

QUE TRABALHO LINDO PARABÉNS A TODOS VOCÊS QUE SE EMPENHARAM O RESGATE DO CAVALO 😊😊😊
Dogs always getting in the way, gotta put their 2 cents in everything.
Когда лошадь умнее людей.
Lucky thing that old man didn't have a heart attack trying so hard
Goid job. … thank you ❤🙏
Yes! Yes! Yes!
I so had a flashback to The Neverending Story
Worst rescue ever. Nice ending though. Yes I have been involved in similar rescues. I am Irish.
Good job Guys ;oP
BIG BOY
Here is another proof that shows animals have feelings like we do.. look at how concerned the man's best friends were! 🦮 😍
Poor Joe is definitely a bit stressed at the beginning.
I have seen so many people copy this, narrate it totally wrong and butcher it completely. One Youtuber said the horse fell into a water hole after a storm. Hilarious. Why would a horse be outside wandering around in a storm wearing a saddle and a bridle? lol. Glad I found this, it sheds a little light on the situation.
Ugh I had to fast forward most of it to the him being saved part 😂 Too stressful to watch!
Omg need to take better care of animals.
I don't see any negative comments.. Just trying to understand why everybody's so mad?
Excellent job! Y’all should be proud of what you did in such short order. It was handled in a quick, effective, in a safe manner with limited resources. Way To Go!
Maravillosa tarea❤
Bravo!
So, which smartass ended with a horse in a water hole?
Heart warming successful efforts to rescue this beautiful animal…..well done guys….wishing you and big Joe…happy lives.
バックフォーの運転がへたくそ
😭
Brilliant save of that beautiful Horse.
Quickly and effectively and timely and very safe.
Well done all ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for being attentive and caring to this Horse.
Congrats all around.❤❤❤❤
Just pull it out of the water, then you can easily see it.
🎉😅😮😢🎉😂❤❤
Poor guy looks pretty hurt
How far do you have to go to find a critical review? I haven’t seen one yet.
Why the machine did not cave another hole beside and a canal to guide the water
Thanks for your fast response time in a very difficult situation. So glad to see you got Big Joe out safely. Great team work!!😊
That's so great 🙋♂️
Next time dig a large hole next to the water, let the water drain into the hole, and then you can get the horse out a lot easier. Simple pimple.
It was great that you got poor Joe out and hopefully he's well but I have to be honest those dogs needed to be kept well away from the situation, big mistake having them running free around the situation, not good especially for the horse!
The dog was worried for his friend
Que tontos están no dejaban que se levantara ese pobre caballo porque hallarlo de la silla que tonto el amigo 😂😂😂
Great Job guys..!!!!
yayyy!!!!!
Wow, that excavator driver was amazing. What a resource to have to save the day.
ARTAX!! ARTAAAAAAAX!!!
I'm happy things worked out….this stressed me the fuk out..watching this thank you for doing what you could do…animals deserve this effort.
Unbelievable unskilled people !!!
Thank God Big Joe is safe. I had horses when I was younger on the farm and sometimes things are unpredictable. ❤️🙏
Would it have been helpful to have a water pump?
This is triggering my Never Ending Story childhood trauma. Artax! Nooo!🫣
Way to go guys ! ❤ Bless you.
Não pude esperar pra ver. Ja parti pro final do vídeo de tanta angústia 😢
Great Job 👍👏
Amazing! So glad Big Joe made it.
