Fostering Heals Hearts ❤️‍🩹 During LA Wildfires #animallover

When Erin lost her beloved dog Sonny a few days ago, she knew she had to do something to give back and honor his memory. That’s when she showed up at our Pet Adoption Center in Los Angeles asking to foster a pet in need. Although her heart was completely shattered from losing her baby, she recognized just how many pets in LA needed somewhere to go. Not all heroes wear capes and Erin is living proof of that.

  1. Depends on the human. Sometimes adopting, or fostering right after passing of animal companion is right , but for other people it is not. It's what feels right for the individual.

  2. So sorry for your loss. But thank you for realizing that the best thing to do is to love and take of another. Because a lot more dogs are needing our tlc. All the best 💖

  3. He’ll be waiting at the gate for you.
I know how much this hurt for you. 💔 Y’all take a little break, get some rest, start settling with the new pup, and I’ll cry for yours and mine for a while.

  4. I’m sorry for your loss. The same thing happened to me is my seven-year-old Weimaraner Loki. He broke away from me and chased a deer across a busy road. He died in my arms a few minutes later. The loss felt total. But I’m looking to God and finding Other animals and people to pour my love into #MakingItCount.

  5. You did the most perfect thing you could do. I think it’s wonderful and we ask you something. I’m an old woman so I want you to start out early. I should have if you haven’t already did it. Give yourself the ultimate love give yourself Jesus he’ll be here soon. It won’t be like they’ve been saying he will be here soon And he loves you before you even born sweetheart and there’s a lot of things you won’t understand you don’t understand, but he’ll explain it all someday most of it in the Bible all of it pretty much just trusted them, honey and give them a lot of love if you could possibly give them in a 10 Commandments are real. Give him ultimate love by doing that and include them and everything I’m working on me, sweetheart. God bless and I love that you took another baby and God bless you, your husband and your family, sweetheart all your family.

  8. I feel for you my dog passed away in May 2024. It is now January 2025 is the first time in 30 years that been out without a dog for this length of time and I’m like you I’m 72 years old though and my husband has COPD, but I’m still thinking that in the spring maybe I’ll get another dog. He was a lab border collie. He was gentle kind and everyone loved himand the loss has been more than I’ve ever felt with any of my other dogs so my heart goes out to you.
