  1. Pasadena Humane Society has a horrible reputation for killing everything. Ive been in the area and have been involved in rescue for decades.
Supposedly the head guy sells cats to laboratories for animal testing

  2. The work is so large in scope = rescuing – housing to reunite with families – treating sick and injured pets – need for supplies – – that they are also bringing deceased pets to be ID"s with microchip scanning is the most amazing humane loving thing to help people know what happened to their lost pets during the terrible fire emergency.

  3. These people are being kept out of their neighborhoods while their pets die from no food or water Mayor Bass you are evil for not allowing the pets to be rescued pure disgusting evil. PETS ARE FAMILY. People have suffered enough and you are letting their family members DIE. Take down the barriers or send in pet rescuers NOW

  4. How can anyone evacuate from their homes and purposely abandon their pets to burn to death? I am not talking about people who couldn't get to their homes but people who just left their pets behind and treat them as inanimate things

  5. For all those who are saying they would have broken evacuation orders to get their pets: please keep in mind that the evacuation orders aren’t just there to protect you, but also the emergency services workers as well. If you run back in but become incapacitated, they now need to stop what they are doing (attempting to control and put out a raging wildfire) to try and rescue you. This is a drain on resources and a massive risk for all involved that could easily lead to even MORE casualties!

I am honestly not sure what I would do if I were in the place of the people affected by this disaster, and it’s absolutely heartbreaking that so many animals will either perish or survive with significant injury/trauma. But please understand that these protocols are there for a good reason and that emergency response teams are doing their dead level best to saves as many lives (human and non-human) as possible! I guarantee that most (if not all) would rather all family members escape unharmed than leave anyone behind.

Instead of commenting on how you would do better or how these people didn’t try hard enough, focus on helping those affected or creating evacuation plans (with supplies like leases, carriers, meds/food, etc.,) for your own family in case of emergency. ❤

  6. Big shout out to humans society and firefighters who rescued those 4 legged friends. You guys are awesome. I'm sure they parents gonna look for them praise God they in good hands ❤
