When a natural disaster strikes, scammers come out of the woodwork. The Maryland Attorney General’s Office said residents should be wary, and they offered tips to avoid being taken advantage. Officials said homeowners should do research to thoroughly check out anyone coming to do work, including those who say they are collecting money to help victims.
