One of the reasons I'm wondering why these people are not using a dslr ,or a different camera of sort. They should just have the phone ready for emergency calls all the time. Lucas' little friend is a friend I'd rather not have. He was getting on my last nerves before he ran away like a little meow meow after hearing a noise.
In the forest there are plenty of animals. It' s not our ancient environment ( Ours was the Savana, and we have still very ancient inconscious memories that compels us to stay away from forests. But we are not the same being we was 1 million year ago, we have powerful weapons and technology. We must not panick, but to be aware of our surroudings and to trust our gut feelings. Cryptids don' t exist, don' t let fantasies defeat your rational mind, the most powerful tool of the whole Universe. It' s logical that forests, especially at night, make us feel uncomfortable. And at night woods are full of sounds, too. It' s the most normal thing. Trusting gut feelings is ok, panicking for natural rumors and let our fantasy fly over our rationality is wrong. It' s always the people you have to be aware to. Make a huge fire, be armed, and a night in a tent in a wood is only a little more dangerous than sleeping in your bedroom. Many people, now, are scared of what they see on social networks, notoriously full of staged situations and total bullshits. Fear is a must to sell ridicolous and totally false videos. Reconnect with nature, and with your inner self. And take what you see on YT and similar social with tons of salt grains.

Making sure you ALWAYS arm yourself when solo camping, especially in the far north wilderness, is the best way to take precautions. Your putting yourself into a dangerous situation, alone, 6 hours up into the wilderness, your dam lucky that a pack of coyotes was the only thing you had to run from. If you dont carry a firearm or don't have one, for God sake bring bear mace and a ka-bar, and always, ALWAYS boobytrap your immediate surroundings. There are so many kinds ic effective and painful traps to protect yourself from predators, including the worst kind, the human ones. I just hope you learned something from this, although a pack of coyotes don't make my top 5 list of actual dangers when camping. Worst is humans. Always have a loaded firearm that your familiar with and practiced on for human predators. Then Bears, Snakes, Elk, wild boar, etc. If your country doesn't allow you to carry a firearm then you have 2 choices. Either stop putting yourself in dangerous situations or carry one anyway. Who will know if you had to shoot an animal to save your own life? Unless you turn yourself in i mean. Your literally in the center of nowhere. Where there's a will theres a way. Always.
The kid camping with the coyote encounter, the abandoned building campimg @ idk.. 20 minutes or so in. It ended @ 27 I think. Let me educate you campers who are unaware of how coyotes work. When the alpha sets his mind that you Are Prey..those sonsofbitches will track and stalk your ass till hell freezes over! Don't take it lightly! You will obviously always have some noise from the wild life that you are invading, or the kid that camps literally where squatters live.
