3. Gee, another deadly attack by, at least their owners claim, the sweetest dog breed ever. I have never heard a pit bull owner admit that it is a dangerous breed. As long as they continue to have this attitude there will continue to be attacks. If you are going to own a pit bull they should never, ever be off leash. No excuses.

6. This is the saddest thing possible I couldnt imagine as a father. The caller stated they had a gun but why didn't she fire a warning shot that would have scared the dogs back. Just scary to think about..

13. I’m sorry, but you should not be touching strangers animals it’s his fault the animals should not be put down again. The kid ran up to a strangers animals and decided to pet them. It is the kid’s fault.

16. If the neighbors that had history with these dogs had called about previous incidents, this child might still be alive. WHY didn't people call authorities about previous incidents? This is even more tragic knowing it could have been prevented.

20. It's just awful. Prayers for all involved in this horrific incident. I had a neighbor once whose dog kept running loose. Every time I called on it, I got the same irritated response from the call center operator. Made me feel like I was the problem and that i was just overreacting. Same kind of situation (drug addicts living in that rental). I FINALLY made sure they knew I meant business and demanded they check to make sure the dog was licensed and up to dates on immunizations. My daughter was around this age.and we had tons of kids outside playing in our neighborhood. Our houses are close too. My neighbors who also had dogs of this breed but were responsible dog owners also made me feel I was ridiculous for being afraid of it. I'd rather not take my chances. Sorry.

23. Things to learn from this dog owners need to keep their dogs contained. If you see someone attacked by a dog lifting the dogs back legs and pull it backwards can stop the attack if the adult bystanders didn't have time to find the gun.
