Puppies are cute, but tons of work. I personally think full grown dogs are 1000% the way to go. Especially first dogs. My first came potty trained, she was out of the box amazing.

I just hope that they take good care of her because it looked like a shepherd mix and they usually have lots of energy as they are a working breed dog.
Only going for walks might not be enough without adding some extra work.
E.g.:
1. Nose work & search games – Hide treats or a favorite toy around the house or in the yard and let your dog find them. You can also create a simple scent trail with treats for extra mental stimulation.
2. Fetch & tug games – Classic fetch with a ball or a dummy is great for exercise and focus. Tug-of-war with a rope toy is also fun, but you must make sure your dog learns to release on command.
3. Trick training & basic commands – Besides basics like “sit” and “stay,” teach fun tricks like “paw,” “spin,” or even walking backward. Clicker training can be super helpful for this!
These activities help burn energy and build a stronger bond with your dog!
Aww, that dog loves the boy- you can just see that she felt the good energy that child had. She deserves a family like that who will give her love and great care. She will give unconditional love, loyalty and companionship to them.

This is cool, I just wish more people would visit their local shelter before getting a Pup. Older dogs have advantages, house training being just one.
Dogs and cats are good animals children should have. Even when they are totlers they should have a dog or cat. But I prefer a dog.
