  1. 1:02:54 can we take a minute to appreciate that Lindsay is knowledgeable and humble enough to correct her own notes while presenting them? 🤯Most presenters would be like "well I wrote it so it's correct" and would NOT run a double-check in their head while talking. 👏👏👏

  2. Hippos by apperence "I'm a chonky happy fluff bby"
Hippos actually "I'm a walking tank of a unit who's damn near bulletproof. If you're in my house come correct or get corrected"

  3. The amount vthat you put into these videos is insane. You are one of the creators that keeps making Youtube my go to platform :))) like seriously this is BBC level stuff.

  4. A tiny bit of perspective. [ numbers and patterns are my 'thing' ]

100 miles in 27 hours is about the British Army's walking pace… [ 3.5 for army, this run 3.7 ave ]

100 miles in 27 hours is just 20% faster than 'normal walking pace', FYI 'The world record for the 20 kilometer race walk is 1:16:36 for men and 1:23:49 for women' the male record holder could do it in the same time if he can recover 75% of the time… 'world record walking holder'>

Don't get me wrong, it's not a race, those ultra-runners test themselves greatly and I bow to he.

But, imagine walking at 4.7 miles per hour for 100 miles carrying 40+ lbs!! [ the 'route march' is only a Marathon!!! ]
    'FASTEST SPEED MARCH
A team of eight serving and former Royal Marines currently hold the Speed March world record.
The team completed a full marathon distance of 26.2 miles while carrying a weight of 40lbs or more.
The Royal Marines finished it in four hours, 16 minutes and 43 seconds, breaking the previous record by over two minutes.
The team conducted training runs at Lympstone Commando, Yeovil, Richmond Park and Manchester in all conditions.
Previously, the record was held by the 29 Commando Regiment RA, who in 1998 completed the distance in four hours, 19 minutes and 7 seconds.'

These guys can do it every week!!!

Yes, elite is what I would call the time your dude achieved, indeed.

One thing you didn't say was where he was doing it, English weather lends itself to 'healthy sweating', it's why we were so 'industrious# before. [ Thatcher ]
America has so many climates that are harsh. There's one [ ultra marathon ] in New Mexico that's evil to do.

    Back to mammals.
[ I hope my Aspie braindump didn't come off sideways, spin it positive people =]8¬_D ]

  5. I caught it the first upload but YouTube auto-played this while I was cleaning my house so I listened to it a second time and the end of the video paired with your song still brought tears to my eyes. Not just the message, but the passion you put into this project is just too beautiful for words. I used to be a "science geek" when I was a kid, but life happened and then I just spent years trying to put myself back together. You (and Milo) have really brought that side back out of me and I can't thank you enough for it.

  6. Hey you, ostriches are cool and I love them and they are not at all unsettling!

(Also, it feels funny but isn't really particularly painful when they eat out of your hand)

  7. Currently listening to this video on full blast in my room while world building in my notebook- my wrist hurts and I'm tired. But will I stop? Nah… Currently only 49 minutes in. Might as well keep going- 🤷

  8. 15teen hundreds? 20 generations? So a generation is ~26.25years? If average age was 3 times that = 78.75 (I think pretty close to average life time in developed countries) , ….. 2025-1500 = 525 / 20 = 26.25 x 3 = 78.75, 525 / 78.75 = 6.66 lifetimes since 1500 AD, if you think in matter of lifetimes, it's much closer than we would think

  9. Age of the mammals? Arguable. Considering the fact that mammals aren't really that diverse with around 6,640 species, compare that with birds 11,000 species, and 12,000 reptile species, even amphibians are more diverse. And then take a look at all the invertebrates. I get it maybe none of the following groups are as cool as for example big scary cats.

  10. Native Americans were stewards for thousands of years before you guys came along. You stopped us from being stewards of the land. You ruined our lands and homes. Now you’re making a program to do OUR Creator Given jobs? The one you stole from us? Girl I love you, I watch you religiously, but that’s just utterly the lowest blow you could of ever hit someone with. You should consider maybe focusing on Native run programs and stop feeding
More greedy white people who can’t stop destroying our animals and lands and our own race of people! 😢

  11. 2:03:50 If Homo Floresiens get to 10,5 m tall, they were huge! I'm from Europe and I don't know about ft, but I'm pretty sure that 3,5ft it's not equal to 10,5m. Small detail;) I love your videos!
