   I'm sure that cancel culture doesn't exist among Buddhist monks and we can learn from that, but one of the others could have welcomed the cat.

   The cat was curious and the fact that it wasn't hissing or in an attack pose but being very friendly speaks to the majesty of everyone at this monastery….except for the guy that threatened the cat!
