  1. “I’m Dexter Morgan.” “I know who you are.” “Oh.” “I mean, after all, I’m sleeping with your sister. Well, she’s not really your ‘sister’ so it’s cool.” And scene.

  2. I think that Frank Lundy was maybe modeled after John Douglas, the FBI profiler who eventually ran the Behavioral Science Unit (BSU) which was renamed to the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). Now everyone keeps writing that Lundy knew that Dexter Morgan was the Bay Harbor Butcher (BHB) — it is only a TV show after all — but I disagree. A bit. As John Douglas would’ve said, “The Bay Harbor Butcher is someone LIKE Dexter.” Douglas uses this line a lot in his books. But in other words Lundy didn’t necessarily think that Dexter was the BHB per se. But Lundy thought that maybe the real UNSUB had some similar traits to Dexter, maybe a similar job, and maybe similar organized traits. But instead Lundy was using Dexter as a model for building a profile. I’m pretty sure the writers had this in mind because if Lundy really thought that Dexter was the “guy” Lundy would’ve investigated Dexter more than he did. I mean, if I were Lundy I wouldn’t have really suspected Dexter only because it would’ve felt like too big of a coincidence to me. I mean, what are the odds that the blood spatter guy in Miami Metro is the BHB? Pretty low most likely.
