Today we’re going on an Egyptian seafood tour in Alexandria, Egypt, which is a seafood paradise on the Mediterranean Sea! We’ll go to the vibrant local market to eat grilled fish, try a legendary seafood restaurant on the beach, and eat some street food seafood sandwiches.
Alban Swissra (https://maps.app.goo.gl/zUR7PXYPQjefuvD7A) – But first, we’re starting with a legendary breakfast of eggs and cheese at one of the most popular breakfast restaurant in all of Alexandria – let’s find out why so many people come here to eat? Total price – 265 EGP ($5.24)
Fish Market, Seafood – Next up on this Egyptian seafood tour we headed to the very local and very busy market, that’s known for selling seafood. From crabs and cuttlefish to a big assortment of fish, this is where locals come to buy seafood. Within the market we found
Al Muhammada Fish Paradise, a restaurant where you can buy fresh seafood and have them cook it right there on spot in the market. They made some delicious Egyptian seafood dishes for us including a Mediterranean sea bass marinated in onions and tomatoes and baked with its eggs, whole grilled tilapia the Egyptian way, and deep fried cuttlefish. Price for all the seafood – 1065 EGP ($21.06), and price for cooking – 365 EGP ($7.22)
El Lol Seafood Restaurant (https://maps.app.goo.gl/E6Wg9UuY3Fa2nEWH9) – Next up we continued on to a real highlight of our seafood tour, a legendary seafood restaurant about a 20 minute drive outside of the city. This place is so picturesque, on the beach, you choose your fresh catch of the day which is directly from the sea, they cook it on spot and you can eat it on the beach. Total price – 1660 EGP ($32.82)
Abo Salah (https://maps.app.goo.gl/3ktrHjWocfCZ1qXRA) – Finally, Abanoub took me to his local favorite spot of Egyptian seafood street sandwiches. We had fried shrimp and a fried squid sandwich, which were quite similar to po’ boys and really tasty. Total price – 160 EGP ($3.16)
TOTAL PRICE – Our total price for everything we ate this entire day of Egyptian seafood came to 3,515 EGP ($69.50). It’s amazing the value and quality of seafood you can eat in Egypt for the price!
It was another outstanding day of Egyptian food, mainly seafood in Alexandria, Egypt!

Someone mention Sonny 😅
Reminds me of two different places… "Pollo Sabroso" in my city took both sides of the drreet to keep up with the orders people wanted their food so much! And… "Gino's East of Chicago " where they couldn't let the cameras that were with Jules Asner into their kitchens because of their top secret recipes and operations.
I actually went to Gino's because of Jules and her "Wild on America" broadcast about Chicago and about Gino's.
If I ever get the opportunity, I'll visit this restaurant!
My family is from Sicily, right on the Mediterranean Sea. Their seafood markets are very much like this. Reminds me of home.
Abanob is doing a great job ❤
