A powerful cold air mass has brought heavy snow on the Sea of Japan coast from the country’s north to west, with some cities in northern parts of western Japan’s Kansai region logging record snowfalls and transportation systems disrupted, local media reported on Monday.

Wow! Looks like a Canadian winter! Buy some snowshoes or cross country skis and have fun! If you can't beat it, join it! That's what we do here! Love the sound of the snow at 6:09. So familiar…so familiar. When snow squeaks however it is very cold so for now at least the weather is mild.

This isn't snow storm. That was normal snowing in all Europe (and bigger part of Japan) 30 years ago.
Heavy snow and chilly. Interesting footage showing how people manage. It's shame that the video footage has been flipped. Japan is a right hand drive country and they drive on the left side of the road. The video shows otherwise. The signage in the shots is back-to-front. Wild Weather has lost some credibility with this Post.

We live in Tennessee and we would have loved to see some snow on Christmas morning! It is beautiful to see but I know it is a problem when you want to go somewhere. Stay safe Japan!! Take a day off and totally enjoy that snow.
