  1. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Half an hour is very short time to look around for a 🐿️ mom to come. It's more than likely that his mom was just taking care of his siblings and would have come later. You shouldn't touch wild animal's cubs because sometimes animals will abandon their babies if they smell the scent of humans.

  2. I thought this would be another touching story but i'm just sitting here balling my eyes out. I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope Charlie is okay. The truly sad thing is that poor Kip didn't have much of a chance at a good life. The happy thing about this story is that even for a short time a chipmunk(Kip) and a dog(Charlie) where the best of friends. RIP Kip XXOO

  3. With animals, the mother knows way ahead of what any vet could tell you that an infant just isn't right, even if they survive they will have a heart condition or respiratory problems for life, the mother has like a 6th sense that it's not in perfect health and decides it's best to just let it go now than suffer longer or a lifetime of illness, we rescue them, but inevitably it's just a delay of their demise. I understand it's hard for humans to comprehend this behaviour, but this is what animals do, like it or not.

  4. "Poor Kip, I know how Charlie felt!" "Charlie's a very good boy, this video is so inspiring!" I had to pause because I couldn't stop crying. "This video is very special!"

  5. What you guys did deserves a gift from God. You guys were angels for that little beautiful chipmunk. Sending love you you guys and specially beautiful Charlie. God bless you all. 🙏

  6. Thanks for everything you did! Warms my heart because I think all animals are equal and have their own positive place in this world.

  7. OH CRAP! I can't even with this! I'm supposed to be eating dinner right now but I'm sitting here BAWLING my eyes out. Such a special friendship XOXOXO

  8. What was wrong with kip? What did vets say? It could have been an allergy or inability to absorb nutrition something simple like lactose intolerance or deficiency..

  9. I can't even, all of this was so sweet, and sad at the same time. What a big lovely boi and lovely family you must be. RIP Kip, you were obviously a gift 10 times your size. <3

  10. I feel like this should come with a sadness warning. Lol. I clicked on this needing a pick me up and ended up absolutely balling my eyes out. The title makes it seem so happy!

  11. While I understand the feelings of seeing the little chipmunk out there and wanting to save him, honestly I cannot condone doing that. It's the circle of life and we need to understand that other wild animals prey and depend on the weak. It's nature taking it's course. On the other hand if human activity caused an animal to be injured or orphaned then yes, in those situations we should do something about it. I know it sounds harsh and cold but it is what it is. And doing that ended up causing unnecessary distress on Charlie.

  12. Really?? Mother of pearl, that was such a friggin bummer. These videos are always feel good videos, so I didn't even question if the chipmunk was going to make it. But damn was I friggin wrong!!

  13. My dad found a chipmunk that some one took from the woods and left at my dad's work. We also called him Chip. We rereleased him in the forest a fewweeks later. but my all my dog wanted was Chip for dinner hehe. Chipmunk s are so cute

  14. I like stories like this but I have to admit when she said "if he was left he would have been eaten" like straight away I thought "circle of life" it's hard to be moral about stuff like this because on one hand she tried to save the chipmunk and ultimately failed, good try though. But on the other he could have been a meal for another hungry animal and thus saving another animals life.

    Life is hard, man.
