6. It is impressive the oceans of times that have passed so that we can see these images from a past time. The people who appear in the video lived their lives normally, without thinking about tomorrow, just as we do, and they are all dead already … What would think the people in 70 years in the future when they see the videos of the present time when all of us are dead too?

12. Cars in those days looked so much better than they do now. Especially modern grill designs which on most cars is terrible. Bloody awful.

19. This is why we need time travel… this was a simple time. People were so relaxed. Many people had nothing to do, nowhere to go, just cruising in their new 1940’s cars and roadsters. No cell phones. Beautiful find.

29. It's amazing how the tone of the music in that era correlates with the more relaxed attitudes of that time.
    Maybe I just couldn't see it, but still no turn signals, lol.

    L.A. in the 40's was even then seemingly chock full of cars but unlike now, i did see a couple of people who seemed to be >SHOCK!< walking somewhere !
    Did anyone catch something that is considered movie magic good luck ?

If any of you ever get the chance to see some old 1950s episodes of Highway Patrol, you'll get to see lots of real old automobiles oftentimes on the streets in California, and some of the businesses are still in existence per Google searches I have done. Anyway, this YouTube video is fantastic. Notice the smog problem back then?
