ABOUT VINCENT
Vincent DeVice is a Senior Nursing student currently working as an in-home caregiver as he pursues his R.N., B.S.N. degree. Vincent has a passionate interest in independent senior care and hospice work. Vincent began reading about NDEs in high school which sparked a lifelong pursuit of learning about NDE research literature, near-death experiencer presentations and books. He attended his first IANDS conference in September of 2019 which was held in King of Prussia Pennsylvania, not far from his hometown of Philadelphia. He went on to attend the first annual IANDS conference online and has had the opportunity to remain connected to near-death experiencers and researchers. He plans to be an active member of IANDS and share the remarkable lessons of NDES whenever possible with anyone willing to listen.

ABOUT JOE
Joseph Hain is a graduate of Holy Family University, Class of 2020. He studied psychology from a mental health perspective and interned as a social worker at Wesley Enhanced Living in Philadelphia, PA. As a child, Joseph had a deep interest in spirituality that led him to feel called to serve as a priest. He is in the process of being received into The Episcopal Church and continuing his education through Biblical Training. Joe’s interest in Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) started at a young age when he read the book Heaven is For Real. This book, coupled with his passion for religion andnpsychology grew from there. He has read other perspectives on death from Judaism’s idea of the gilgul (reincarnated soul) to Tibetan Buddhism’s Bardo Thodol and more. When it comes to beliefs on death and NDEs, it can not be denied that something happens after we die or nearly die. Why is it that some people have an NDE and others do not? How do those in Generation Y come to understand and embrace Near-Death Experiences?

ABOUT JOHN
John Hain is a computer management information systems major at Holy Family University. He was introduced to NDE’s through his brother and some friends. His father has taken great interest in the topic through the book “Imagine Heaven“ and has shared many of the stories. NDE’s captured John’s interest and he is excited to continue learning about them.

What is a NDE or Near-Death Experience?
A near-death experience (NDE) is typically a profound, life changing, intensely emotional experience that usually occurs during a clinical crisis and has common characteristics and aftereffects. It is not a dream, hallucination, or mental illness (Greyson, 1983). There are no predictive variables to identify who will have an NDE. They happen to people of all ages, religions, socio-economic groups, cultures, educational backgrounds, and belief systems. They occur under a variety of circumstances such as accidents, near-drownings, illnesses, combat, surgical procedures, and childbirth. Following an NDE, experiencers (NDErs) often display some common aftereffects. Research has established a set of common NDE characteristics and long-term aftereffects. Common theories used to explain near-death experiences have been proven inadequate by NDE researchers and others.

  1. Great noble work Guys. Have you considered also researching the death experiences of enlightened persons or people on spiritual paths. As well as people from other cultures. For sure, NDE in the East are not the same as those from Westerners. Could it be that the NDE's have broad varieties that are dependant on cultural beliefs as well as spiritual evolution? Thanks

  2. Hearing all three, I am surprised and elated by their testimony. Proof of this coming of age spiritually that is blowing down the out-dated dogma of materialism. We are all one, all connected, eternal beings having an earthly experience. These beautiful boys will undoubtedly take us further in our awakening. Bravo

  3. Thank you, gentlemen, for sharing your wisdom and insights! I have no doubt that all of you are going to positively impact many people in your future careers. Wishing you all the best!!

  4. It's time for this information and personal experiences about the invisible…
I think it's a part of the revolution we are currently experiencing. It eases the fear and stress that most have about death…. Just saying!?

  5. Great ideas guys! I think getting into colleges and introducing the topics there is going to be key for the education of our youth. Science classes, nursing, neuroscience, hospice, theology, sociology, and psychology, are just a few areas where we can introduce this to the world.
I also think this topic isn’t just for NDE’ers. I found Iands after my baby daughter died and it helped bring me tremendous peace. It’s the only thing that did. Talking about it internally in the hospital systems and the NICU’s by the hospital staff would have actually helped me instead of the support groups they actually offer. I’m sure they help some but they were for me. Iands was for me.

  6. I found baby boomers n gen xers like myself are more open to listening to my nde n other experiences than gen y n zers. The younger ones see me more off my rocker 😂
Greateful y'all guys are interested n believe people. Thanks 🙏❤
    Jesus is real

  7. Regarding computer science you would think it would be talked about more considering we live in a simulation of sorts with programming, and viruses 😉 lol.
