Dog saliva is even slightly bactericidal against Escherichia coli (E. coli), and against Streptococcus canis, which can be passed from companion animals to humans.

14. Bless him..he must have been in so much pain..not only nearly garrotted by wire but his winkie out and it was sooo red and sore. It was swollen from the wire which pulled the skin back..i said once it calmed down it should hopefully go back to normal..now getting rid of those pom poms and he's ready for his furever home which he deserves..well done Snoopy..you still trust us humans even after the abuse you suffered..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👍👏👏🐶🐾🐾

23. It is so good to see him doing so much better. It is my humble opinion that if an animal licks their wounds, not aggressively, it helps their brain become self-aware and focus on that area of their body Humans automatically focus unless given pain meds.

34. I loved how confident Takis was about how the wounds would recover. I felt confident too.
    I agree about the licking. Not as much with cats because their salava keeps wounds open. But Takis knows that too!
    I'm so relieved (Pun intended) his penis has retracted!
