Immune System, Part 1: Crash Course Anatomy & Physiology #45

Spread The Viralist

Our final episodes of Anatomy & Physiology explore the way your body keeps all that complex, intricate stuff alive and healthy — your immune system. The immune system’s responses begin with physical barriers like skin and mucous membranes, and when they’re not enough, there are phagocytes — the neutrophils and macrophages. It also features the awesomely named natural killer cells and the inflammatory response, and we’ll explain how all of these elements work together to save the day if you happen to slip on a banana peel.

  1. I kind of like these videos but I also dont…
I wonder who they are for? They are not informative enough to be used for university and too specific for normal people so whats the gain from sacrificing information for some fancy graphics?

  2. "Eat some questionable leftovers for lunch?"

I just had a flashback of Chubbyemu's episode of a college student eating a 5-day old leftover pasta…

    That was pretty questionable…

  3. The immune system videos are among the best in the whole A & P series. Phagocytes and natural killer cells are described and illustrated in such a clear way. Thank you and God bless.
