19 (baby!)
inverted baby
bright blue sky scenes
obscura in my bedroom
lying on the floor we had some times
bad ideas
soft spoken music to my ears
spending my money
like i wish i had spent time
but no our legacy sheets
can bring me sweet dreams
how strange is it when ours is lost in them
i said whenever you called id be there
i hope you never take advice from your friends
crammed in to the back seat of my first car
that i drove too fast
running from the thought i
know you dont get it when i say i been balling
its all bless
you couldnt stop crying i couldnt cry at all
how can i dance myself clean?
these rooms just dirty my soles
slowly my friends turned to places
i cant be everywhere at once
i watched some friends turn to places
now its just a one way convo
and til youre not afraid of going
ill be right here on your arm
and when its not my choice in staying
ill go
i know our legacy sheets
cant bring me sweet dreams
how strange is it when ours is lost in them
i said whenever you called id be there
i hope you never take advice from your friends
crammed in to the back seat of my first car
that i drove too fast
running from the thought i
know you dont get it when i tell you im balling
balling
we were just kids
you couldnt stop crying i couldnt cry at all
how can i dance myself clean?
these rooms just dirty my soles
slowly my friends turned to places
and i cant be everywhere at once
i watched some friends turn to places
now its just a one way convo

Do you personally choose what storyline would be used for the MV of your songs?
Oh, the original pitch version is so much better on the chorus man
Don't get me wrong, this song is beautiful. I will end up loving it but the chorus just throws it waaaay off man. Modern Warfare probably had Jon's best chorus ever.
The chorus is very 'off'. The rest of the song is pretty great, but if he was trying to be experimental with the chorus, he didn't achieve that. And honestly, the chorus ruins the song for me.
✨✨✨✨✨✨❤️
This is my interpretation of the video. I've seen a few comments saying how the song itself is about accepting the past, moving on, and trying to figure out the next step (0:10). I think there is a special application here to letting go of people, especially when he says, "slowly my friends turned to places, i can't be everywhere at once." When it comes to the video itself, we see all three people moving/existing aimlessly, (man staring at the ocean, woman falling out of the passenger seat of a driver-less, slow-moving car, and the older woman staring at a screen) which might be demonstrating that element of, "I don't know what to do next." I think it was intentional that this was filmed in Beirut, where an ammonium nitrate explosion killed hundred and displaced many as refugees (the Beirut Explosion). At 2:57, it shows a series of black and white images, where I think a few are referencing the catastrophe that happened in Beirut, alongside the characters in the video. There is this separation of loved ones in the video, and a tenderness when they are together, but an emptiness when they are alone except for the older woman who decides to close the screen and learns to be happy on her own. The last scene with the younger and older woman (who I assume are mother and daughter) shows what seems like a reunion between the two, or a cherished dream/memory the younger woman holds on to, such as tea with her mother. Whenever the characters are together, the background changes may be indicating that the scene is occurring in their dreams, such as the mother and daughter, where the daughter falls asleep and wakes up in her mothers place. Certain things displace people, or lead people to live in different spaces than you, the song and video seems to project peace with this and a bittersweet nostalgia when we look back on these memories. However I could easily be completely wrong, this was just my first thoughts from someone who has rewatched this video too many times lol 🙂
Haven't heard your music in a little minute and I see this on my home page. I saw you perform in the US with a friend when I Think You Think Too Much Of Me just dropped. That album really got me through a tough time, thank you for continuing to release tunes. It's been a while since I've binged some music but I think I'll be going back through the discography tonight. I hope you're well 🙂
Such a beautiful beautiful song
Thanks man i've been waiting for u to upload
We need another UK TOUR asap
Underrated, it's just underrated
Eden's voice is so smooth, and your songs is amazing. You're a legend.

“from my first car that i drove too fast”
reminds me of his song Gone when he was The Eden Project:
“No I don’t drive slow but it’s better than not moving at all”
when he performed this in london in december, he introduced it as a song for the places you cant visit anymore or the people you dont talk to anymore. immediately my mind went to an old internet friend owen, who was the one who introduced me to his music five years ago. been waiting for this release since. me and owen drifted a little after a couple years, only talking every few months or so. i started talking to him a bit more regularly in the past few weeks, just in time for this song to finally come out. i love it so much. me and owen are both 18 now, and planning to meet up soon. will definately be playing this in my headphones when we make the journey <3
I liked the bald guy Thumbnail
Oh my so good. How man. I learned eden from xo but it's a cover from( don't remember name) but it's geometry dash level from krml(if you know). And have loved almost everything from him since.
What I love most about these songs is just how replayable and timeless they are.
Typically I'm skeptical on the first listen, but then I think about it and listen to it some more, and I pick up something new each time and the next thing I know I'm addicted.
And no matter how long it's been, I always find myself coming back to listen to an EDEN song.
