Even after a long time watching crash compilations, I am still stumped by many things, including and especially how one loses control of a vehicle on a dry road in warm conditions travelling in a straight line. Everything I was taught about driving a car was aimed at maintaining stability and balance under all circumstances, and all the experience I've had driving the highways in heavy vehicles has developed that sense. Most of these gymnastic manoeuvres baffle the bejesus out of me. It is as if old mate and his old mates want to go faster, but that just isn't how you do it. If you want to know how to go fast, watch a tutorial from Jackie Stewart on the subject. It conclusively puts this dangerous crap to bed.
