U.S. health officials are battling rising concerns and case counts on two fronts. Monkeypox is spreading rapidly across most states, while hospitals are filling up once again thanks to a new COVID variant. Jennifer Johnson reports from Washington.
In southern Europe, out-of-control wildfires are forcing thousands of people from their homes. People living in Spain, Portugal, and France are also battling record-breaking heat, which is linked to more than 1,000 deaths. Mike Armstrong looks at what else firefighters are up against.

Finally, a two-spirit Indigenous woman from the Tsuu T’ina nation in Alberta is making a name for herself in the golf world. Irene Crowchild is a two-time national long drive champion — and she’s going for her third title. An intergenerational survivor of Canada’s residential school system and a role model, Crowchild hopes that her success will drive reconciliation forward. Heather Yourex-West takes a look.

Looks like yout morally superior public healthcare doesn't work. Sad. Who would have hought.
As Healthcare workers.. all the perks and bonuses should be given.. sign on bonuses for all.. and gas breaks for thoes traveling.. also paid uniforms etc.. the red carpet should be rolled out.. !! Top dollar per hour and paid breaks and meals provided.. essential workers deserve to be treated like gold!! Also push for more nurse practitioners and immigrants with experiences of being doctors in their country should have a easier time to bridge to practice in canada.. we need to think outside the box.. we need to utilize thoes with skills and expertise who never get to work. For years they have been saying.. wait until the baby boomers retire .. well it's here and our Healthcare system can't handle the amount of people who need medical attention with their comorbitites…

Canada simply doesn't have the GDP or infrastructure dollars required to adequately service 38 million citizens under the public healthcare system in its current form, and no one in Trudeau's red and orange political coalition gang wants to take on the responsibility of fixing it.
Ergo, major changes and overhauls are needed across the board, and it's only a matter of time before private healthcare service models are introduced in Canada.

People need to stop showing up at ER with things that are not an Emergency. The panic they created over Covid has created a situation where people show up with cold symptoms that can be managed at home.
People treat staff so rudely. Something is wrong with society where you go to work and if you are not verbally abused it's a good day.
I will be retiring from healthcare and I will be looking for part time work at some point and it will not be in healthcare. I did not sign up for abuse I would not accept in my personal life but have to take on a daily basis in my workplace.

My neighbor is a mortician, but changed jobs from preparing bodies to the barbecue aspect of the job . Talked to him 2 weeks ago, and he said nothing unusual, and most for cremation at his facility are younger druggies (Niagara Region). In mid 60's we had hepatitis pandemic, and in the 50's polio, and never any lockdown or forced vaccination. My friends brother acquired polio, and my father and 2 of my friends ended up with hepatitis….yet today no one I know has had Covid. I was a believer, but now consider most of the data as fake to suit the needs of the WEF.
As we speak, my wife is in emergency with high blood preasure and chest pain. She has been therw since 2pm. It is now 9pm. Unbelievable!
