Who was in the wrong, the kayakers or the powerboat?
The power boat needs to slow down and the kayakers need to temporarily get out of the way. Use some common sense please or the cops will just shut it all down.
To the IDIOT trailering his boat with the motor engaged at a higher RPM. When you do that you create a vacumm at the end of the ramp which pulls the dirt/mud/sand out from under the concrete pad causing weakening of the pad!!! Evenutally someone will back in the pad will break with the wheels dropping off. Almost impossible to get trailer out then.
You put who's at fault. The Kayakers should NOT be in the main channels anywhere! They need to keep in mind they have a draft of about 10" if that while boats need to run deeper.
They have every right to be on a water way also but need to not be arrogant like this group getting in the way of a main channel.

I'm a kayaker and I say they should have left enough space for other boaters. Both sides were wrong.
No sympathy for kayakers. As for who was wrong? Human powered vessels are at the bottom of the list just after sea planes…
Well to be fair here, Kayakers take their time and block waterways. Kayaks are made for no wake zones. We buy power boats so we can go fast. Now is it fair someone spends $100k on a boat and can't enjoy it because a Kayaker wants to block boat channels?
The kayakers had a competition set up, without any observation boats to let others know it was going on. The kayaks have a way of being everywhere and not leaving a passage open for other boats.
However, the RIB should have slowed somewhat to give them a chance to clear a lane before charging through.
If contact was made it would fall on the captain of the powered vessel. It would be difficult to get out of that one.
The kayakers were at fault, there were so many of them, and they should leave a space in the center for bigger boats passing through. It is difficult and dangerous for the bigger boats to attempt to maneuver amongst so many kayaks, this would increase the risks of collision, and running aground on the shallower sides.,
Doing that to kayakers is grounds enough for getting your head kicked in,what an asshole
Late to the party here, but that boat captain is at fault (and incredibly irresponsible). Power boats always give way to a kayak.

who's in the right or wrong in this instance really doesn't matter. it comes down to this. If it's bigger than, get of of the damn way. simple. I for one, wouldn't argue the point if it meant getting killed to prove it.
kayakers tend to know nothing at all about boating rules…at a local lake near me they will have tons of kayaks on the boat ramp and leave them to get ice cream when there is a beach built right next to the ramp for the kayaks

Kayakers are at fault
Juno beach is known for suicidal kayakers and water skiers hogging the channel. Boats have to go between the channel markers. Kayakers sitting in the middle of the channel and refusing to move when a boat approaches are daring me to kill them. There is a beautiful area just off the ICW there, but they insist on dropping skiers in front of my boat or sitting on kayaks talking in mid-channel.
kayakers lives were put at risk by an over zealous boat owner. Nothing gives him the right to endanger peoples lives.
No matter how pissed of you are , should never intentionally try to cause harm. Same principle as with holding a gun. Just because you’re pissed off is not grounds to use the gun. Boat at fault 100%.

Kayaks are supposed to keep the channel clear. If there’s a bunch of idiots blocking the way, I say trim it nose high and let the bow do the work.
The answer for the "who's at fault here?" is: the vessel overtaking.
In all fairness it looks like none of those kayaks bothered getting to the sides for the boat just as cyclists clog roads. I would have done the same although my boat is smaller

3:21 why is this a boat fail. This is what I need to do to connect the boat to the trailer other wise the boat just slides back into the water. Who ever made this video has not been around larger trailer boats much!
Either way, everyone involved loses. I prefer not to be involved.
