Would you try this? The Extreme Sports of Indonesia – Sailing SE Asia Ep.61
Spread The Viralist

We experience the extremes in Sumbawa, Indonesia. From swimming with the WORLDS LARGEST SHARK to competing in the BUFFALO RACING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. Extreme sports are alive and well in Sumbawa, water buffalo racing is all the rage and we turned up to the world championships, believe it or not, they even let us have a go! As an extreme contrast we also took the opportunity to get into the water and swim with the world’s largest shark, the whale shark.

We are a British couple who set off from England in 2016 to fulfill our dream of sailing around the world on our 37ft sail boat, Florence. Along the way we share the live aboard lifestyle with the highs and lows of travelling around the world by boat.

  1. There is such a wealth of recorded folk and popular music availabe in Indonesia for use in traveelogues. It wold really add a lot to these videos.. Someone needs to greate some examples and show officials at the top level of government that this is fvery expensive for the producers, so fee advertising, so royalities should be waived and no permits required..

  2. Great video! It takes a lot of courage to do what you guys did. And the whale shark was awesome. The Indonesian fisherman seem so friendly. It was cool to see inside their boat. nice one.

  3. Yeeeehar!
    The English bull racers! 💪🤠
I couldn´t believe, there is someone even more crazy than me! 😂😂😂
But I love it! Well done fellows! 😎👍

  4. I hadn't seen the water buffalo racing until now. IDK if you drank any of their milk, but it's 8% butterfat! I was interested that you had the chance to swim with the whale sharks so casually – in Mexico, the government is very protective, and limits how many ppl, how much time, etc. Of course, instead of that swim, I got to tour a Mexican Hospital for a week. Not a fun story.

  5. We are all enthusiastic supporters and admirers of your multiple skills………
BTW, how long can you stay under water snorkeling? Thanks………… Cheers from Chiang Mai. jerry

  6. our guide announced the shark is under the boat, so of course, we all drove over the side……………………………….White people

  7. To film and share could be ok. But take part of such a thing is using animal cruelty to increase likes in your channel.. Good channel though, but I am unsibscribing now.

  8. Hi Matt and Amy, I have been following your blogs for awhile and they are fantastic, all the more so because I did a similar route on a S&S She 36 nearly thirty years ago, and our Aries was also our best friend…are you going to Chagos?

  9. We are really enjoying your channel. Your videos are well put together and very entertaining. We sailed the Indo Rally as crew in 2011 and following your progress has us keen to go back on our boat 10 years later in 2021.

  10. You are such a lovely couple and your videos so nice and smooth. Always fun to view the next one. But the footage with the whaleshark is stunning!l wow! Thanx a lot!!!

  11. So the aim is to beat the shit out of the buffalos with a stick so you can make them shit scared enough to run toward a haunted stick they are supposed to be shit scared of. Great logic.

  12. Having lived in Kenya for many years, the snake appears to be some sort of mamba. The green mamba is a brighter green but the shape of the head appears to be very similar along with the long body shape. The green mamba is very poisonous! Love your videos on YouTube!

  13. "If given the opportuniy would you run barefoot through polluted shit mud right behind huge animals who are pissing and shitting." Umm, thanks I'll pass.
