🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. The lack of electricity and water is no longer the fault of apartheid. The ruling government is corrupt to the highest level and has done no maintenance to water and electricity supplies.

  2. Third world continent. Common now. Stop making excuses. Being stuck hundreds and hundreds of years behind the times is all of Africa’s… charm?

Let’s call it charm. Just ya know, keep the charm over there please. We got enough of that charm in Chicago, LA, NYC, San Francisco…. We’re charmed out.

  3. Sonny I'm from South Africa and I've been a devout follower for more than a year now, I watch each and every episode and I'm so proud that you are finally in my country. If possible please visit venda and take you to my family's game farm you would love it. "Makuya game reserve" I would love for you to experience our food and show it to the world.

  4. Ooooh, I'm looking forward to this one!
I've been to South Africa and I've eaten Kudu and Springbock and the like, it's very delicous, but what I've had only hints at the diversity shown in this trailer.
I'm so up for learning more about the food culture and just plain culture of South Africa.

  5. Hundred of years ago, Europeans believed that the beautiful land that they saw, was rightfully theirs to take. So many Africans were slaughter, that the water ran red with their blood.

  6. Thank you for showcasing south africa its great to see my country on the map however you missed a major group that being the indian community. South africa has the largest indian population outside of india. We also have a history as to how we arrived in south africa and our food influence is also found in plenty of other south african dishes! I really wish you had included durban indian food instead of excluding an entire group of people. The bunny chow is not found anywhere else in the world
