I grew up here and NEVER can I recall this many tornadoes anywhere NEAR the city. As a Westbanker I am sad to see the devastation, and as a New Orleanian my heart hurts to see my city devastated yet again
Great shot mate, it was not an easy tornado to record because of all the rain. You were at the right spot, at the right time.
So horrible
Tornado took a sip of the miss
So when the tornado crossed the river did it become a waterspout?
I saw the one from March on my porch. I was standing in my porch while it was in Arabi. I’m in the lower 9th ward. When I heard it was in Marrero I was hoping it wouldn’t cross the river again, surely enough.. I didn’t see this one though. I think I was in the kitchen when it crossed over.
How can that be
It's winter
Arabi was hit twice this year by a tornado

Great video! I’m a trained Weather Spotter and these things are incredible to watch. Those power flashes were something else! Prayers for all who were affected by this.🙏
