The grooming room at National Mill Dog Rescue is a place where a lot of magic and life changes happen. Imagine being in pain from mats that pull your hair every time you move. Imagine be so filthy, having excrement caked on your bottom but having no way to get relief. Imagine having so much hair grown that your vision is obscured and you can scarcely see your world around you.
When our dogs are rescued, taking care of such problems is a top priority. Watching these dogs come out of their spa day completely changed, physically and oftentimes emotionally as well, is truly unforgettable. I've been lucky enough to adopt 2 Pomeranians. I was watching the washing of the little one around the 1:10 minute. The littles ones eyes of relief and how good it feels to be scratched was wonderful. To not feel dirty, itchy and painful showed pure bliss in his eyes.
