Iām 2 weeks sober. I canāt stay happy. They say I need a spiritual awakening to stay sober. But religion seems to control others not to save your soul. I canāt imagine living with the darkness of this world and nothing to numb my pain and thoughts (drugs). I donāt think Iāll kill myself but everything is so dark and thereās no light. 3-6 months for my brain to start producing dopamine- so 3-6 months of pain. How do I get through thisā¦ a sudden end would be welcome to me if I could get so luckyā¦ is there an addict in recovery with some sober time that can relate and guarantee me it gets better? Iām fucking hopeless atm.
