12. I understand why people might be asking why Donald's mom still maintains a relationship with him. Some familial bonds are unbreakable no matter what some ungrateful people do. It's like how Thomas Bartlett Whitaker's dad forgave him and sees him in jail despite Tom trying to kill him too. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but that I can understand. What's sad is that, in both cases given the overwhelming love they got from family, they would have been forgiven if they had just come clean.

You cannot deny your child of basic freedoms and normal social interactions and expect them to be normal and well adjusted adults; that tiger parenting style backfires all the time with the high suicide rates in those cultures among other things.
