9. Just to raise awareness here; in most cases you should never remove barnacles from turtles! The skin and shells of turtles can often be fragile and removing them aggressively can cause damage. Turtles normally do not grow barnacles, which indicates that turtles like this are suffering from some kind of illness already. It is wonderful to see the kind side of humanity; however, sometimes it is best to let nature do its thing because removing barnacles can injure the turtle further.
