I was a cop in a small town. I used to aways say hauntings are usually misconceptions with old machinery making a certain hum that activated the fear response in your brain (thats a real thing. Try looking up the ghost frequency and listen to it wearing headphones)
But when i became a cop, I've cleared churches and schools late at night and i can honestly say im open minded about ghosts now. I experienced things i cant explain, like a panel to a breaker box being open that wasn't when i went past it, footsteps in a 100% completely empty building, taps, bumps, weighted doors managing to crack open. Its shit that really gave me chills, and the worst part is i never encountered that stuff in completely abandoned buildings. And i used to be an urbex guy before and never experienced spooky shit like that.
