   * For those who dont get the joke. Aang doesn't actually fly but Sokka still calls it flying. This is like how there are parts in the live action where people are saying he's flying when hes actually just having air push him. Sokka is meant to be the audience here. This has nothing to do with how Zaheer flies.

2. Bro sneezed, went up 20 feet in the air, came back down. That’s not the same thing as dancing through the air like a fairy 💀

4. Bruv doesn't he pushing the air to propel himself and air bender that has no connections can fly without bending big difference

5. he is gliding not flying, you can clearly see the shade of air while he glides.
   
   He uses his glider to maneuver in a fast pace gliding like he did with Teo in Omashu, without his glider he can only glide in the air slowly.

6. Well it’s a live action production so it’s kind of obvious they had him (or stunt double) doing things suspended on a wire

8. On this live action series Aang flew for miles to Crescent Moon Island. He can definitely fly on the live action.

16. I mean, in the Kyoshi Novels, earth benders can learn to use dust to run mid air and water benders can use the water in the air to accomplish the same. It isn't far fetch that an airbender can just manipulate the air around them to stay afloat.

19. Zaheer could FLY because he had no earthly attachments. Other than that, they were propelled upwards by air bending, slowly falling but air bending to fall slowly and controlled, or they used their gliders.

    Air benders USED to be able to fly, but then they got earthly attachments.

21. So we know airbenders CAN fly, and my theory is that Aang has always been on the verge of being able to fly, but he’s only ever been able to slightly levitate and then go into a guided fall.

22. Hes not actually flying, I do believe though that airbenders can float to a specific height, slowly loosing height

27. Honestly, the live action should not give him the ability to glide like that. There is a reason why he has a glider. What was the point of having that staff?

30. While it's possible for him to airbend off the ground I would still prefer if we stuck to him using his wing glider in the live action for the most part.

31. I like the new avatar but let's be honest they forgot too many things that they could have done better when you consider that they could have recreated it literally exactly and it would have been just as good as the lord of the rings ps sorry for my bad english i'm a dutch cheese head

32. I know it looks "cool" Thats why netflix use it. But in the series its explained WHY airbenders cant fly anymore.

33. He can only “jump” that high whenever her sneezes. Thats the thing, he cant jump that high without sneezing or using his air glider.

35. That’s because in the live action he’s flying unassisted, in the source material he needs a glider or a tornado or something to do it.

    And the tornado flight trick has very specific rules like you always have to be head up.

Only times aang could fly was with his glider or in the last few episodes of him going into the avatar state where he flew around in that air sphere thing, meaning he needed some sort of extreme control and power to be able to fly without the help of a glider. From what that scene shows, he's literally just floating, like a little fairy, which wasn't something he was capable of doing in the og show because it would make his glider useless. Why have a gloder when yoi can jist float wherever you want.

37. Yeah thats not flying though? I don't understand the point of this video, he can propel himself up and fall slowlly, but its a world of difference then just flying. And if he wasnt supposed to be in the live action then they didnt do a great job at portraying that
